About the artists:

Ida Metsberg is a Finnish singer-songwriter residing in New York. With a background in musical theatre, her music is heavy on storytelling and unique lyricism, combined with her classic songwriter sound, fingerpicking on the acoustic guitar. With nods to artists like Carole King and Joni Mitchell, Ida blends pop and folk with intelligent, thoughtful structure and lyrics. Even songs that are more solemn and serious in tone leave you feeling hopeful and introspective. Her craft is her therapy and expression of her deepest self. Ida writes for her own healing, being able to also find comedy in her experiences (such as her single How Do You Do It? a song about social anxiety). This style of genuine rawness and passion resonates with anyone who has loved, lost, and can still celebrate life and look inside, honestly.

Ida is notable for playing shows across the United States and with her unique sound and raw honesty, her show is a must-watch. She was named Performer of the Year 2023 by Finlandia Foundation National, her music can be found on all streaming platforms, and she is currently in the studio working on new music, set to be released in 2026.

Kyle Gray Young is a Finnish American singer-songwriter, music educator, and music historian living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally from just north of Chicago, Kyle has been composing music and playing guitar since the age of five. Kyle has released 11 albums and more than 30 books of sheet music. Kyle has received four grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and four from the Central Minnesota Arts Board for various music projects. His most recent grant is from Finlandia Foundation National to write a memoir based on his experiences connecting with his Finnish roots.

On stage, Kyle performs a wide variety of cover songs in both English and Finnish as well as his own original English songs with his acoustic guitar. His performances stand out not only for his powerful vocals and innovative guitar work, but also for the way he intertwines storytelling with his music, creating deeper connections with his audience.

Kyle has been teaching since 2014 and has a diverse roster of students across the country that learn various instruments, composition, music theory, and recording technology with him. In his latest role, he has been serving as the music director for FinnFest USA.
